At RootedBox, we want every plant and product you receive to be healthy, fresh, and exactly as promised. Since plants are living beings and require special care, our policies are designed to balance fairness with the realities of handling perishable products.
🌿 Return & Refund Window
- Live Plants: 24 hours from delivery (for damage or defect claims only).
- Non-Plant Items (Planters, Tools, Décor): 7 days from delivery (for returns or replacements).
Requests made after these windows may not be eligible for review due to the perishable nature of plants.
Refund Processing Time: 2–10 business days (from approval to credit).
Due to the perishable nature of live plants, we cannot accept returns after successful delivery unless the plant is damaged or dead on arrival.
🛑 Cancellations
- Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing (before dispatch).
- Once processed or shipped, cancellation is no longer possible.
- To request a cancellation, contact us via email at info@rootedbox.in or call/WhatsApp +91 70219 82799.
- Approved cancellations will be refunded to your original payment method within 3–5 business days after deducting applicable payment gateway or transaction charges.
🌱 Refunds & Replacements
1️⃣ Damaged or Defective Plants
- If your plant arrives damaged, drooping beyond recovery, or dead, please email info@rootedbox.in within 24 hours of delivery with the following:
- A clear, continuous unboxing video (from opening the parcel to showing the plant), and
- Photos of the plant and packaging at delivery.
- After verification, we will provide one of the following:
- A replacement (if stock is available), or
- A coupon/refund of equal value to the original payment method (as per your preference).
- Plants that are removed from our pot, repotted, or damaged during unboxing or handling are not eligible for refund or replacement.
- Minor leaf damage or slight drooping during transit is normal and not considered a defect.
2️⃣ Product Not as Described
- Natural variations in plant color, size, and shape are expected and do not qualify for a refund.
- If you receive a completely different variety than ordered, please raise a claim within 24 hours of delivery with photos and an unboxing video.
- After review, we’ll arrange a replacement or coupon/refund as appropriate.
3️⃣ Missing or Wrong Products
- Share the unboxing video clearly showing the items received.
- Once confirmed, we’ll issue a replacement or coupon/refund.
4️⃣ Germination & Growth Issues (Seeds, Bulbs, Manures)
- Share photos of your sowing setup (soil, light, and watering conditions).
- If used correctly but still failed to germinate, we’ll issue a coupon for future purchase.
- Refunds are not applicable in these cases.
5️⃣ Exchanges
- Exchanges are possible only if the plant or product arrives in an irrecoverable condition.
- Requests must be made within 24 hours of delivery with proof (photos and video).
- Once approved, we process the exchange within 24–48 hours of receiving the returned product (if return is required).
- Replacement dispatch: 1–3 working days after approval/receipt.
- Replacement delivery: typically 2–7 working days based on your location.
🚚 Delivery-Related Issues
Delayed or Inactive Tracking
- If tracking remains inactive for more than 15 days, we’ll reship fresh items at no extra charge.
Marked Delivered but Not Received
- We’ll verify with the courier. If no valid proof of delivery is found, we’ll reship your order (no refunds).
Wrong Address Provided
- If delivery fails due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we’ll reship after the original parcel returns to us.
- Please double-check your address at checkout before payment.
Return to Origin (RTO) / Non-Delivery Reports (NDR)
- If your parcel is returned due to unavailability, refusal, or incorrect details, we’ll reship once with fresh products.
- Refunds are not issued in such cases.
📦 Returns & Shipping Back
- Due to the perishable nature of plants, returns are accepted only if pre-approved by our support team.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless RootedBox is at fault.
- For high-value items (₹799+), please use a trackable courier service.
- RootedBox is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

🚫 Non-Refundable Items
- Rare or limited-edition plants.
- Sale or discounted products.
- Plants reported after 24 hours of delivery.
- Perishable items once accepted in good condition.
Coupons or credits are issued only upon customer consent; otherwise, refunds are processed to the original payment method.

- Review & Approval
Minimum: within 24 hours of receiving complete evidence (unboxing video + photos)
Maximum: 3 business days (during peak seasons or if courier verification is required) - Refund/Coupon/Replacement Initiation (after approval)
Coupons: issued instantly to within 24 hours
Replacement dispatch: 1–3 working days
Refund initiation: within 24–48 hours - Money Reflection to Your Original Payment Method (after initiation)
UPI / Wallets: 1–3 business days
Credit/Debit Cards & NetBanking: 3–7 business days
EMI / BNPL: 5–10 business days
COD refunds (where applicable): 3–7 business days after accurate details are received
Overall Refund Window: 2–10 business days (from approval to money received).
In rare cases, courier or bank investigations may extend this by a few days. We’ll keep you informed throughout.
